Also, there is another company Brewster with regular services between Calgary and Banff/Canmore/Canadian Rockies. The Brewster Banff Airport Express offers regular shuttles between downtown Calgary, Calgary International Airport (YYC), Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Canmore, Kananaskis and Stony Nakoda, with connections to Red Deer and Edmonton. This service includes free pick-up at all hotels in Banff and major hotels in downtown Calgary.
Driving Directions from Calgary Airport to Banff by Car
If you choose to travel by private vehicle, you will find the route is well-signed and the trip from the Calgary International Airport to Banff takes approximately 90 minutes.
1. Depart airport and take Deerfoot Trail (Highway 2 North)
2. Take the exit for Stoney Trail NW heading West approximately 4km after arriving on Deerfoot Trail. Signs should indicate it heads towards Banff and Highway 1.
3. 23 km later you will have circumvented the city centre, take the exit for Trans-Canada Highway 1 West (Banff).
4. Continue West approximately 90 km on the Trans-Canada Highway 1 and eventually this will take you through the park gates.
5. Once through the park gates, continue approximately 10 km and take the first exit to the town of Banff.
Local Transportation between Banff and Canmore and within Banff
Canmore is a sister town to Banff town located 12 miles or 26 km from Banff. It is an easy scenic drive of approximately 20 min by car to travel between two towns.
There is also a regular shuttle between Canmore and Banff operated by ROAM
The Regional Service between Banff and Canmore provides a quick, convenient, and environmentally conscious way to travel. Leave your vehicle where it is, don't worry about trying to find parking or National Park Gate line ups. Enjoy your ride!

- Trips from Canmore to Banff leave 24 minutes past the hour (eg. 09:24, 10:24, 11:24, etc.).
- Trip travel time is approximately 24 minutes.

Within Banff itself, there is almost free transportation between hotels, museums and shops. Some hotels provide free (complimentary) ROAM passes to each guest. Please check with your hotel.
The closest bus stop to the ICCSA conference venue in Banff is on Banff Avenue in front of the Body Shop.
